Orthodontist Parnell Auckland Central

Specialist Orthodontist in Parnell, Central Auckland

Parnell Orthodontics is located at 32 Mahuhu Crescent, Parnell — on the CBD fringe, close to the Spark Arena and the waterfront, with easy access from central Auckland, Newmarket, Remuera, the eastern suburbs, and beyond. It is one of the most accessible specialist orthodontic clinics in the Auckland region, and the only private practice in central Auckland led by an active University of Otago researcher with over 130 published papers in orthodontics.

Why Parnell?

Parnell sits at the geographic crossroads of several of Auckland's most populated residential and professional suburbs. For patients from Remuera, Newmarket, Epsom, the CBD, Mission Bay, St Heliers, Kohimarama, and Meadowbank, Parnell is a short, direct journey — in most cases under 10 minutes by car outside peak hours. For patients coming from the North Shore, Ponsonby, Grey Lynn, Herne Bay, or South Auckland, the clinic is accessible via the motorway network with straightforward parking on arrival.

Many of our patients combine their appointment with work, school drop-off, or errands — the clinic's central location makes this practical in a way that a suburban practice rarely allows.

Parking and transport

Street parking is available around the park and along Mahuhu Crescent near the Arena. For patients commuting by public transport, the clinic is a short walk from the Britomart transport hub, which connects bus, train, and ferry services from across the region. We are happy to advise on the best route or parking option for your specific starting point — just ask when you call to book.

What makes Parnell Orthodontics different from other Auckland orthodontic practices?

The most significant difference is Dr Adith himself. Parnell Orthodontics is not a group practice with multiple rotating clinicians — it is a single-specialist practice where every patient is assessed and treated personally by Dr Adith from the first consultation to the final retainer appointment. You see the same clinician at every visit, and that clinician is a PhD-qualified researcher who remains at the cutting edge of the field through active publication and international teaching.

The practice is also equipped with technology that is not standard across the Auckland orthodontic landscape, including a Sirona AXEOS 3D CBCT imaging system for three-dimensional assessment when clinically indicated, and 3D digital scanning in place of traditional impressions for all patients. These are tools that improve diagnostic accuracy and treatment precision — not marketing features.

Who does Parnell Orthodontics serve?

We see patients of all ages, from children presenting for early assessment through to adults seeking treatment for the first time or following relapse after earlier treatment. Our most common patient catchment includes Parnell, Newmarket, Remuera, Epsom, Mission Bay, St Heliers, Kohimarama, Meadowbank, St Johns, Greenlane, Ponsonby, Grey Lynn, Herne Bay, the Auckland CBD, and patients travelling from the North Shore, East Auckland, and South Auckland. No referral is required to book.

How to get started

The first step is a free specialist consultation with Dr Adith. This typically takes approximately one hour and includes a comprehensive clinical examination, 3D digital scanning, a discussion of all treatment options relevant to your situation, and a written fixed-fee quote. Many patients are surprised to learn they can begin treatment at the same appointment if they choose to. There is no pressure and no obligation.
