Fixed braces and Invisalign® / Angel Aligner® Pro clear aligners can both provide effective orthodontic treatment in suitable cases. The better option depends on the diagnosis, required tooth and root movements, bite correction, oral health, lifestyle and likely wear compliance.
Braces are fixed and give the orthodontist direct control over a wide range of movements. Clear aligners are removable and discreet, but they must usually be worn for 20–22 hours per day and may require attachments, elastics or additional mechanics. Some cases are suited to either option; others are more predictably treated with one approach or a combination.
