Parnell Orthodontics offers Invisalign® and Angel Aligner® Pro clear aligners, both diagnosed, planned and monitored by Dr Adith Venugopal. The aligner system is a tool; the quality of care depends on appropriate case selection, sound biomechanics, monitoring and the clinician’s willingness to recommend a different approach when aligners are not the best option.
A specialist orthodontist’s role is to assess the teeth, roots, bite, jaws, supporting tissues and treatment goals; review the software-generated proposal critically; and prescribe the sequence and auxiliaries required for the individual patient.
Invisalign at Parnell Orthodontics
Invisalign uses a series of custom-fabricated, virtually invisible trays to move teeth progressively toward their planned positions. Treatment is mapped digitally before it begins, and a simulation of your projected result is produced before any trays are ordered. At Parnell Orthodontics, Invisalign treatment is planned using full specialist clinical judgement — including assessment of root positions, torque requirements, and the limits of what the aligner system can reliably achieve for your specific case.
Angel Aligner Pro at Parnell Orthodontics
Angel Aligner Pro is an advanced clear aligner system that integrates three-dimensional root movement data into the treatment plan using our Sirona AXEOS 3D CBCT imaging system. This allows Dr Adith to prescribe tooth movements that account for root position — not just crown position — producing a more precise and biomechanically sound treatment outcome in cases where this level of detail matters. It is particularly valuable in cases requiring significant torque control, root parallelism for implant site development, or precise three-dimensional positioning of teeth adjacent to sensitive anatomical structures. We particularly recommend Angel Aligner Pro for these more demanding clinical situations.
What types of cases are suitable for clear aligners?
Clear aligners work well for mild to moderate crowding, spacing, anterior crossbites, and many overbite corrections. With specialist-level planning and the right case selection, they can also manage a significant number of more complex movements. What they cannot reliably achieve — in any patient's hands — includes very significant skeletal corrections, cases requiring large amounts of vertical tooth movement, and situations where fixed appliances would provide substantially more control over the final root position.

The Parnell Orthodontics clear aligner process
Your journey begins with a free specialist consultation including a full clinical examination and a 3D digital scan. If clear aligners are appropriate, a digital treatment plan is produced and reviewed with you before trays are ordered. You receive your first sets of trays and a full explanation of how to wear and care for them. Review appointments — typically every 8 to 10 weeks — monitor your progress and allow Dr Adith to make refinements as needed. At the completion of treatment, retainers are provided.
